I think that the Angel might have heard me yelling into the night sky above the Salt Flats as I had to decide which of my rifles to toss to make room for the newest one found. As loud as I can get I think that Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchford may have heard me as well, because my prayers are finally being answered in the upcoming second set of downloadable content for Borderlands.

Fragland.net reports that the next expansion for the wildly popular multi-platform role playing shooter Borderlands will be called Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot and feature three new Riot Arenas. Next to these arenas will be several storage areas where weapons can be stored without selling them. Not much is known about the story behind Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, but there’s a good chance a smartass Claptrap will once again berate me in front of the other mercenaries and make me question my career choices in life.

You won’t have to wait long for the extended storage space in Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, as the DLC will be available before year’s end (insert fanboy squeak) on Xbox Live on December 29^th for 800 Microsoft Points. PSN gamers can download the new content on January 7^th for $9.99. PC gamers just got mainstream’d again as a date has not been set for their version of the second Borderlands DLC. Hopefully you guys and gals will make it to Zombie Island before the rest of us venture into the Underdome.
