The PlayStation 3 Trophy trackers at PS3trophies.org dropped a few hints today regarding the next downloadable content pack for Gearbox Software’s hit role playing shooter Borderlands. Though no name or release date has been officially given for the dlc, nor have any finite details been specified yet in regards to the highly requested level cap and storage space increases, the five trophies revealed may imply more arena-based combat and challenges. As with The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and the core Borderlands trophies, chances are these awards will also be translated into equivalent Achievements for the Xbox 360:

Bronze

Small Tournament – Completed the lesser challenge in all 3 coliseums

Silver

Hell-Burbia – Completed the larger challenge in the Hell-Burbia coliseum

The Angelic Ruins – Completed the larger challenge in The Angelic Ruins coliseum

The Gully – Completed the larger challenge in The Gully coliseum

Gold

Big Tournament – Completed each of the larger challenges in all 3 coliseums

I’m hoping that this next batch of content brings more to the game after a somewhat lackluster visit to The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. I can testify to the incredible replay value of Borderlands as I am still playing the game despite tearing through Jakobs Cove in only a few hours, but humorous writing and new enemy skins can only keep mercenaries entertained for so long. Give me a reason, any reason, to return to Pandora and I’ll gladly bore a hole through whatever enemies cross my party’s path before they know what hit them.
